Wanna know about the events?
We introduce the events in the Underground as follows.
'GoodFriends Underground', a music playground run by musicians, is open only on Saturdays. It is open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. There are no holidays throughout the year. (Every Saturday, 1 to 9)
We start the event at 5 o'clock. Just grab a cup of coffee while. playing guitar. And when we say, "Gather up!" We’ll set up the seats and you can sit down.
Let me introduce the events one by one as follows.
Live Concert
::
That's right! That's exactly what you'd expect.
We’re doing the band performance that you've been waiting for.
Recall the prosperity of Hongdae Live Club.
The relaxed atmosphere of the cafe, too.
Think of it. Think of a passionate English live pub, too! Mamasay
Musicians have total of 6 teams of bands and solos.
They take turns every month and perform as the
worlds-class musicians in Korea.
It's a trend to perform live, and there's
Mamasay Records at the center of it.
Jam Session

Jam = Improvisation. Fellows who love to play instruments, gather around! regardless of age or gender, People who purely like music gather and freely improvise every month. You’ll feel like you’re in Memphis or New Orleans.You'll feel like you're sitting down on the street there, regardless of how good you are. We’ll teach you and put you on stage. So just bring up the instrument and come quickly. Yes, this is not America. This is Korea. There is a jam session scene here in Korea, too.

Music Listening Forum

This event will teach how to listen to music properly. It would be better than going to LP bars or CD bars. You’ll probably like music, but you also might wonder how to listen to music in this 21th century, which is a time of diversity and even a chaos. You might want to learn about the music history, and what’s good and proper sound quality. You can also find out your own music listening method and introduce it to others to make it richer. As you know, if you like music, it would mean you like listening to it. But we suggest you to listen to it correctly and choose good music. Music changes your life, too.

Eric Clapton <Unplugged> 1992
A masterpiece of acoustic blues by Eric Clapton and his band. The famous 'Tears in Heaven ', 'Layla', 'Old Love' are included. MTV unplugged got much more popular after this album has released. We recommend you to listen to this while looking into EC’s life story.

Mamasay people are 'reading musicians.' They read books enthusiastically and express those in music. Good Music is made from this 'good life style,' which is our strongest point and secret. Let's talk together with books. We love books, so if we talk like this, there is a high chance that we will be true friends. Books are the key to the style of mind, and to the high quality of life. Singer-songwriter Day

To do one's own music means to live one's own life. It's also the greatest life goal anyone can ever imagine. The Mamasay is full of people who challenge the world "only" with their own music. This is a time to share the secret to creating something of their own. We will teach you in person and perform it in front of you. Bring a notebook and a pen, and experience how our lives become "poems."

Musicians' Ensemble

Buy and listen to the albums of our six Mamasay Records musicians. And like them. Be a fan and listen to them over and over again. If you know how to play any instruments, and if you want to play one of our songs, tell us you wanna give it a try. You can sing, too. Our musicians will play for you on the stage.
One Point Lesson
::
As you visit our space often, your music has gotten even better. After watching many events, you became to want to be good at music. Then, sign up for a lesson. Did you know? That Mamasay has started as a private cram school, and developed to a proper music high school, and has a lot of experience and outcomes in music education? But remember, we're not doing lessons to earn money. Well, to sum up, "the process by which a good musician brings out your underground." We define it as a lesson.
Guitar Repair

We have almost every equipments for guitar repair. If you try to do something at home, your guitar is in a mess, right? You probably wouldn’t know where the repair shop is, and it's simple to fix, bur it is too expensive! Yes, just bring it over here. Take it easy and have a chat with us while we help you with your guitar. Keep in mind, we don't take any money. It's just one of the things you can enjoy in the Underground.
